Health & Dental
Associates may choose from among 4 flexible plans that best fit their needs.
Life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment insurance, and critical illness insurance are all available as options to associates.
Employee and Family Assistance Plan (EFAP)
Associates in need of assistance with regards to work, family, or financial issues may contact our EFAP provider and receive confidential professional advice and/or counselling free of charge.
STAPLES offers appealing incentive plans to all associates, whether they work part time or full time. We're happy to announce that over 90% of our population is bonus eligible!
Associates are eligible to receive a bonus payout at the end of the fiscal year if certain business achievements are met. Bonus plans differ according to job levels.
Team $uccess Plan (T$P)
In-store hourly associates are eligible to participate in the quarterly T$P program, whereby associates share in the success of their store's performance. Payouts are based on component achievements.
Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
We offer RSU grants to eligible associates annually. As part of their total compensation package, associates receive grants at no additional costs.

We've also formed partnerships with various wellness organizations to provide associates with discounts on items such as fitness centres, pharmaceutical products, and fitness equipment.

At Staples, we care about our associate's future and helping them to plan for their retirement is one way that we're making this happen. That's why we offer both a RRSP and a DPSP to our associates. All associates may participate in the RRSP after 90 days of service. Staples will match 100% of contributions to the RRSP up to a maximum of 3% of annual salary.
- STAPLES associate discount: In-store discounts are offered to associates on all products sold
- Computer purchase program: An interest-free loan to purchase a computer from Staples via payroll deduction
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP): Associates may purchase STAPLES stock at a discount
- External Discounts: We've partnered with external organizations in order to offer an extensive list of discount programs including Suzy Shier, Clearly Contacts, RBC Home & Auto Insurance, Chrysler Advantage Plan, and Wireless Discounts. Plus, we're always working to expand the selection of discounts offered to our associates.
We understand the importance of education to our associates and their children which is why we offer three scholarships: Annual Academic Scholarship Program, Retail Council of Canada Scholarship and Canadian Office Products Association (COPA).
